Services for Libraries

Érudit disseminates a unique collection of Canadian scholarly and cultural journals in the arts, humanities and social sciences, and works in partnership with libraries to support open access.

The erudit.org platform disseminates over 200 scholarly and cultural journals that reflect the broad scope of research and creation in the arts, humanities and social sciences. Anthropology, literature, psychology, demographics, education… over 35 disciplines are represented in the collection.

The journals we disseminate are independent and are predominantly published by Canadian learned societies, university presses, or academic departments. These journals have each been evaluated by our scientific committee and meet strict selection criteria in line with that of major Canadian funding agencies.

Terms of Access

95% of the content on erudit.org is openly available!

The journals disseminated on Érudit can choose to make their content available in immediate open access or behind a moving wall (12 months for scholarly journals, 36 months for cultural journals). All archived issues are available to access for free. This means that over 95% of Érudit content is openly available!

Partnership for Open Access

The Partnership for Open Access (POA) enables open access publishing in Canada. It provides financial support to non-commercial scholarly journals through the ongoing commitment of library partners and is based on a close collaboration between all stakeholders of the research ecosystem. Part of the diamond open access movement, the POA is building a collective, equitable, and robust path for the dissemination of knowledge.
