Érudit at a Glance

Timeline

The Érudit platform was launched in 1998 by the Presses de l’Université de Montréal (PUM) with financial support from a Quebec government agency. This marked the beginning of our organization’s journey, which has been governed since 2004 by an interuniversity consortium comprised of the Université de Montréal, Université Laval, and Université du Québec à Montréal. Since then, Érudit has forged ties with a host of partners across Canada and internationally, initiating core projects that contribute to making access to knowledge more equitable.

Visit our Timeline webpage for a detailed account of Érudit’s history.
