Associate Director
Élise is Érudit’s Associate Director and leads our strategy and partnerships team. She has acquired in-depth expertise in the field of scholarly communications as Érudit’s Director of Operations for several years. A graduate of UQAM and HEC Montréal, she has also worked as an editor.
Tanja Niemann
Executive Director
Tanja holds a master’s degree in communication and media studies from the University of Leipzig. She held various positions related to digital publishing in Montreal before becoming executive director of the Érudit Consortium in 2012. In this role, she works to promote open access and develop digital practices that foster the democratization of knowledge.

Vincent Larivière
Scientific Director
Vincent Larivière holds the UNESCO Chair in Open Science, is a full professor at the School of Library and Information Science at the Université de Montréal, a regular member of CIRST, Érudit’s scientific director, and deputy scientific director of the Observatory of Science and Technology.
Digital Publishing Services
In addition to helping editorial teams navigate our ecosystem, the Digital Publishing Services team ensures the integration of publications on Érudit. It optimizes their discoverability while ensuring that services meet the needs of platform users.
Strategy and Partnerships
The Strategy and Partnerships team ensures that our organization’s activities are aligned with our overall objectives, builds relationships with our strategic partners, and coordinates the drafting of our grant applications. It is also responsible for certain key initiatives at Érudit, such as the Partnership for Open Access (POA) and Coalition Publica.
Scientific Development and Innovation
Always ready to cite a relevant scientific article, the Scientific Development and Innovation team studies the scholarly publishing ecosystem, produces and analyzes evidence, and builds relationships with research communities.
Technology Infrastructure
The Technology Infrastructure team is responsible for the smooth operation of our complex technology environment and oversees the implementation of new features that enable Erudit to continually expand the scope of its work.
Communications and Engagement
With a passion for beautiful phrasing, our Communications and Engagement team promotes Érudit’s mission and services, while highlighting the knowledge shared on the platform with scientific communities and the general public.
Finance and Administration
The Finance and Administration team is responsible for accounting operations, in accordance with guidelines and compliance with funders. It also provides administrative support to the Érudit team and its partners.
