Scientific Direction

The Professor Vincent Larivière is the Scientific Director of Érudit since April 2015.

In this capacity, Mr. Larivière participates in the planning of Érudit’s strategic orientation and is the institution’s spokesperson to the research community. He also contributes to the reflection on current issues affecting scholarly journals, including Open Access and means of supporting the French-language research results publication.

Specialist of new modes of research results dissemination, Vincent Larivière is holder of the Canada Research Chair on the Transformations of Scholarly Communication at Université de Montréal. He’s also an Assistant Professor in the École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l’information and the Assistant Scientific Director of Observatoire des sciences et des technologies.
