Digital publishing chain
Érudit has developed an open source software publishing chain, called Tournesol, which centralizes all steps in the publication of digital documents with superior markup and that meet international standards (Érudit Article and NLM, Dublin Core, etc.).
The Tournesol software is used by the production team of the Université de Montréal’s Centre d’expertise numérique pour la recherche and the University of New Brunswick’s Electronic Text Centre.
Érudit Article format
Érudit Article is an XML markup format adapted to scholarly articles. It provides excellent document organization and wide distribution in search engines.
Searching and viewing publications on the Érudit platform are facilitated by a number of tools:
- Trilingual interface (French, English, Spanish)
- Integrated search engine.
- Improved search features
- Multiple navigation options; browsing tool (cultural journals)
- Bibliographic reference management tools (EndNote, RefWorks, Zotero, etc.)
- Unlimited simultaneous access
Érudit owns a public OAI for harvesting journal records published on its platform. OAI queries are available in OAI-DC and NLM formats. OAI address: http://oai.erudit.org/oaiproviderpublic/
